eBay Valet
TASK
Rebrand the service–at the time, eBay Valet was still in its infancy and was a scrabbled-together offshoot of eBay.
BACKGROUND
eBay Valet is a C2C service. Customers send items they want to sell to a “valet” in a pre-paid box or drop the items off at a drop-off center. Valet experts take photos, list, and ship the items to their new home. The customer gets paid once the item has sold.
ACTIONS
eBay Valet was having trouble defining exactly what its service was to the public and also needed some consistency across all touchpoints.
I incorporated lifestyle shots into my initial concepts and collaborated with the copyeditor. I also worked closely with the developer to guarantee continuity across desktop, tablet, and phone.
RESULT
The rebrand led to an increase in activity three times across overall volumes in the first two weeks alone following the new launch.
